Hello, we have tried repeatedly to add several account managers and gotten a message that we cannot because "that email address is already in use by another user". I deleted two of them from Constant Contact and still got the same message. I need to resolve this issue and immediately add these two people as account managers: Thanks for your quick assistance.
Hello @A-BTech ,
This messaging is because the people in question are currently using the email addresses you're trying to add as usernames for other accounts they're on. They'll need to login to the other accounts they're on, and update their usernames on those other accounts so that you can add their emails to your account.
If you they further assistance with updating their other accounts' usernames, I'd advise having them call general support to provide their emails, confirm security permissions live, and work with the agent to administratively update those other usernames.
They actually are not using those email addresses for other accounts, thus the mystery. And now they aren't in the system at all and we're still getting this message.
If the system is saying that the emails are already in use for another account, then that's definitely the situation. Even if the account they originally used them for has been cancelled or otherwise not in use.
If they're unable to access those accounts to update their email addresses on their own, they'll need to contact our general support to get that info administratively updated. Otherwise, different email addresses will need to be used to set them up as users in your account.
This is the college's only account. I have referred them to your customer support because I don't know what else to do.
