I am unable to use image URLs with ".jpeg" extensions. The ".jpg" works fine. The error message returned is, "That image URL is not valid. Give it another shot."
This was never a problem before the update. My workaround has been to create a copy of the image and change the extension, then upload it back into our website where the old image was. This is an entirely impractical solution in the long term.
Hello @MoniqueCornett ,
Are you able to recreate this issue in other browsers, or in incognito? Does using a URL shortener on the image's URL first, then using that for the insert function allow it through?
I came to report the same problem. It's been an annoyance for a bit but now it's enough to ask for a solution.
Many images on our website have the .jpeg extension and sometimes we link to images on other sites with that extension. It doesn't cause a prbolem on the browser or the site. But any time I try to link to an image with the .jpeg extension, I get this problem in Constant Contact.
Is it specifically with .jpeg type hosted files, or is it any image type (PNG, .jpg, webpage, etc.)? Are you able to pull .jpeg file types from other sources, or does it fail regardless of the original host?
It is specifically an image with the .jpeg extension hosted on our WordPress site. If I take the exact same image, change the extension to .jpg, and upload it (like @MoniqueCornett explains), it works. But .jpeg is an acceptable extension for JPEG images (in fact, doing a search for the problem, it seems like Adobe has started using .jpeg as the extension for exports).
Does using a URL shortener, and inserting that reconfigured URL allow the image to insert as expected?

I don't normally use a URL shortener. I tried t.ly and it did not work. I got the same error message.

Hmm, I don't see my reply. I don't use a URL shortener. However, I tried t.ly and I get the same error.
At this point, @HopeandCope , I'd advise responding to the @ mention email you receive from this response, or call our general support so we can securely collect the following info:
We can also try testing in your account with a test copy of your email, to see if any of the other URL shorteners we regularly utilize are able to make it work as intended.
I tested and uploading a file with a .jpeg extension works. So it is really the fetching of the URL that is a problem.
