Formatting articles

Our church sends out a weekly email with short articles about what's going on in the next couple weeks.  In the past I could put an image next to an article, on either side, to make it more interesting and sometimes give more information. Now the images go immediately above the article (even if I built the image next to the article space). I can't move them to sit next to the article, unless I make it completely columnar and have just empty space below the image.  This is so frustrating.  I tried using the new "Article" format but it makes the background dark blue and unchangeable.  I've got a lot of seniors reading this, they don't want dark color backgrounds with light colored type.  How do I change this?

So I did some testing in your account with the "CSCTEST_" copy of your email, and was able to recreate the issue you're describing. It's suggesting that there's likely some junk coding that's been built up from copying, or from the conversion from 3ge to CPE. When I recreated the setup using a new image and text block, and copied over the text, the issue was resolved. I've setup 2 versions of that affected block in my CSCTEST_ copy for you to look at, to determine which you'd want - image in 2nd column alongside the text, or an image text wrapped in the text block.

If you're having anomalous issues with a particular block or set of blocks in the future, especially one that's in an email that's several generations of copies of copies, then adding wholly new blocks can typically resolve the issues. The best option overall is to create a Master Template already setup with all the default structure, wording, and imagery you always want in your emails. That way you can copy directly from it each time, which avoids the junk coding buildup issue altogether.

Regarding the article coloring issue you mentioned, there's two different article layout blocks available, one with an extra fill color, and one without. If you're dragging over the one with the extra fill color (denoted by the green background it has in its lefthand menu icon), then you can change this in the Design tab just like how you could in the 3ge builder.

Thank you for your assistance.  Unfortunately, even with an entirely newly created template and new blocks, the text still won't wrap around the image.  The image jumps up above the box with the text in it.  Or it puts the image next to the text, but the text continues in it's own column.  It's frustrating, since it worked fine 2 weeks ago.

I'm still not able to recreate that on my end. Is the text block you're trying to insert into just not showing a pink box to drop the image block in at all? If so, you may need to wholly replace that text block with a new one, going back to the migration or junk coding-related issue mentioned in my earlier post. Drag over a new text block, and drag an image block into it to start text wrapping. Then copy the text from the old block, replace the new block's default text by pasting in, and then delete the old block.
