Inner Background Keeps Changing During Build

If I change the color of a font, or a divider, etc., the inner background color keeps changing to that color. (And honestly, I still haven't figured out which blocks are controlled by the "inner color" setting.) Once I figured out what was going on the fix was relatively easy, but still perplexing. I have to go to the "Inner Color" setting, which still reflects a white background (even though the background color has changed), and click on the white background "swatch" which will change the background back to what it was supposed to be. This is very annoying.

Hello @BrianJ557 ,

I have some troubleshooting questions regarding your issue, if you wouldn't mind answering them so we can narrow down what the source of the issue is or see if it matches with any known issues:

  • What campaign type is this occurring in? Is it occurring when building an email, lead generation landing page, survey page, or something else? Does it seem to occur in multiple different campaign editors?
  • Is this occurring with all blocks when you edit one particular element's color (text, divider, etc.), including newly added ones? Or does it only seem to occur with a particular layout block, read more, RSVP, or other special block type?
  • When changing the colors, are you dragging the blocks into different positions, or scrolling on your screen while still selecting the color?
  • Does the color change when you simply hover over a color option, or only after you've explicitly clicked it for the particular element color?

Hi William,

I had already sent the campaign in question. I tried copying it to replicate the issue, but could not. This is not the first time this has occurred. But seems a bit random.

  • It's an email campaign, still using an old template, not "cross-device".
  • Seemed like it was occurring in multiple layout blocks, but not all.
  • Happened when I was highlighting text to change the color or a button to change the fill color.
  • Only changes when explicitly clicked, not hovering.

William, I appreciate the help on this but a more critical issue, that is repeatable, is the problem with using tags when building segments (happened to me again today). I and others have posted on this  multiple times and we have not heard about any remediation around this issue. I have given multiple examples of the problem, including creating a segment that includes only one tag, with a resulting segment count that is far different than the count for the tag (it should be identical).

The issue regarding segments has already been tracked to your account. You'll be notified directly by the devs when there's an update regarding it.
