Is there a way to tell if the contact I am entering has already been entered, previously?

Hi @HeatherJ826 , 

 

There certainly is! If you are entering a contact using the "add a single contact" function in your account and clicking "continue", the system will prompt you to "edit" that contact. If you are adding multiple contacts using an excel spreadsheet or pasting contacts, the system will tell you after the contacts have been uploaded if any were already existing in the account. It will say "Xx contacts were added, xx were updated". 

 

If a contact was updated, it was previously in your account at some point. The system does not add duplicate contacts, so you do not have to worry about sending an email out to a contact multiple times.
