Issues with "Email Status" when uploading contact list

I have contacts I just uploaded as an Excel file. In the upload process, I click to indicate I have permission to email them, but Constant Contact still uploads them as "No permission set" for their email status. It appears I need to individually edit each contact record to click that "I have permission to send email." Even if I delete them all and re-upload the list, it still imports them this way. Is there a way to bulk edit all 185 email statuses? Why is it uploading them with this email status?

Hello @ElizabethV079 ,

Do you know if the contacts showing in this status were already entered in as such via Event registrations? Or is there an existing field/column in your file that's listing their permission status?

It may be worth reaching out to our Review team to see if there's some kind of hold on those contacts specifically, or if there's some compliance / permissions element in your account that might be affecting these uploads. They'd also be best equipped to assist with mass-editing a bunch of contacts' permission statuses.

Hi, it does appear they were previously entered as Event registrations for some reason (prior to my time with this organization). Is there a way to change that, or is the best course of action to reach out to the Review Team?

If that's the case, then it'd be best to reach out to the Review team for further assistance. Otherwise, the only other options would be to have them agree to newsletters as part of registering for an event (setup in Basics), or explicitly sign up using one of your sign up forms (landing page, inline, etc.)
