a number of our contact lists have gone missing

Hi 

A good number of our contact lists have gone missing.  We have checked and verified that none of our administrators have deleted any of our contact lists.  We greatly appreciate an insight into this and how we can retrieve the missing lists.

Hello @JesusM ,

 

There's no list deletion activity from the past 7 days, based on your import/export activity page. Have you gone through your entirety of your lists to look for the specific ones you believe are missing? Are you absolutely certain that no one among the account owner and managers made any changes to names, list memberships, merges, or anything else? Do you have a time frame of when you believe these contact lists were still available and then weren't? Do you have any specific examples of emails that were sent to the missing lists?

 

If you know specific examples of lists you believe are missing, I'd advise calling our general support to see if they're able to run any logs or see if any info can be gleamed from our admin system.

Thank you for your response.  However it does not help solve the mysterious disappearance of our contact lists.  We had 250+ lists before the disappearance of a good 50 contact lists.  Some time last month, our administration in another office had difficulty in assessing Constant Contact for a week or so.  Could this have affected in any way.  Is there any way Constant contact could have archived the contact lists.  Appreciate your assistance.  Thank you

The login issue was in regards to India-based IPs getting bounced back by our Cloudflare setup, and has since been resolved. It wouldn't have affected contacts or any other elements of the account. 

 

When it comes to contacts, our higher level technical team can sometimes do rewinds if the changes occurred within 24 hours of requesting the rewind. Beyond that however, they won't really be able to do anything. Unless you're able to call in to provide some specific names of the missing lists for our higher level technical team to try looking for, there's not much else we can do in this regard.

 

You may want to check the activity of your organization's devices, to see if your account owner or any of the managers would have been logging in to merge lists, or doing cleanups and either forgot or didn't feel like mentioning it. If your organization doesn't monitor your devices like that, then there's really nothing else that can be done overall.
