Please tell me how to email event participants after the event is closed, to say thank you so much for coming to ____ event, and ask for feedback, what they liked best, what recommendations might they have for future events.

Even once an event closes, you can still send emails within that event directly to the registrants for up to 30 days after. If you'd prefer using the main email builder or it's been longer than 30 days after the event finished, then you'll want to export your registrants, upload them to a list, then make the regular email to send to that list.
