Do you have any other welcome automations active at the moment? What is the exact error message you receive when you try to activate the welcome email?

it is saying:

Have you checked the header and footer sections of your email, to see if they need updating or need their info re-entered?

we dont have a header or footer and our footer that is on every email is finished

Then I'd advise calling our general support so they can continue troubleshooting with you live.
