Is there a way to add a tag function to a signup form, so that when a new subscriber (or very important: an existing subscriber) completes the sign up form they are identifiable in my subscriber data base?
Hello @PatriciaH8969 ,
At this time, tags aren't an available option for sign up forms. You may be able to segment your contacts to distill those belonging on one list and the one associated with the sign up form, then make a list from that segment, and then tag all the contacts in that segment-list accordingly.
Hi William, Thanks for your support. Can I automatically segment contacts from the sign up form? I don't see how to do that. I need to know immediately when someone signs up to attend a workshop, whether they are already on my contact list or they are new to my list. I host multiple workshops for various instructors, and set up a webpage with all information for each workshop. Multiple unique sign up forms are necessary, as well as an automated process behind the scenes to immediately identify who signed up for what. (sign up forms accommodate this with tags. I just moved over to Constant Contact, but maybe need to go back.)
You'd need to create the segmentations manually.
If an existing subscriber uses a sign up form, do I receive notification so I could then segment them?
You can alter the frequency of your subscriber notifications through the Reporting tab. However our system is not a full CRM, so at this time there isn't anything that'd notify you more frequently than once per day for new subscribers and unsubscribers.
This is a really odd limitation, generating frustrating manual work.
Would be really nice to see this functionality added to improve contact management.
