Whenever I type text and input space with space bar the space disappears immediately, so if I continue to type the words run together, I'm not having this issue on any other platforms using the same keyboard and browser, any ideas of what might be causing this? I have a video I can share.
Update 6/13/22: We do not any additional information to share at this time regarding the spacing issue but are working closely with our product team and hope to provide an update soon. We understand some of you prefer to work in Firefox but for a smoother experience to create and send your emails, the workaround of using an alternate browser is encouraged as we do not see the spacing issue elsewhere. This is not a solution per se but it will help you work in your account in the meantime. Any updates will be shared.
We are requesting the following information to send to our engineers and ask you to include this in a comment:
To be frank, it is inexcusable that Constant Contact has not resolved this after nearly two months have elapsed. This issue is present on all versions of Firefox that have been released subsequent to this 'no space' issue. Firefox 101.0.1, 64-bit, Windows 11 Home is what I am using today.
I don't accept that adding brackets to copy or switching browsers as an acceptable solution. Our company will allow another couple of weeks for a resolution then we will transition to one of your competitors, which is unfortunate because we are long-time customers of yours.
We are aware of an issue with Firefox specifically when using the cross-platform editor that causes the space bar to not work correctly. Our teams are reviewing reports and investigating further.
In the meantime, we recommend using an alternate browser to create and edit campaigns.
How is that fix to the disappearing spaces coming along? I am glad that I am not alone in this odd glitch, but adding manual spaces throughout the copy after the fact does not seem to be an acceptable solution to a problem that appears to have been occurring for two weeks?
I agree and not acceptable their "fix". [I'd[rather[switch[to[another[service
I don't remember for sure but it may be even longer than 2 weeks. Obviously something changed either in their template or their code at the time we all started reporting it. I bet the tech team could check their logs and by process of elimination find the change that caused the problem. But they'd rather tell us to turn off our extensions (which doesn't solve the problem anyway!). Eventually they will have to invest the time into finding the problem--as I've written before in this thread, most committed Firefox users are not going to want to switch to Chrome! I realize that in the universal count, Chrome is a more used browser but I really can't think that Constant Contact wants to turn away the Firefox section of the universe.
My workaround for now is to NOT use the cross device templates, just going back to 3rd generation. My main reason for trying cross device to begin with was because it allows a social link to your tiktok page and 3rd generation doesn't. Neither problem is desirable but I can probably construct my own set of social links. It's just easier to work with the CC block.
ty, I'm not interested in chrome because there are other issues that I would have to re learn and I really don't have time for that. If I have to learn I will dump CC and go with another provider because they can't or won't fix this issue
My wife was having the same issue on her lap top running FireFox 99.0.8. Just started happening. I have access to three CC accounts (her account and two others). Oddly, testing today from my PC, (Also using Firefox) there was no space problem in two of those accounts, but when logging into her CC account the space problem was there. Yikes! How weird is that??? I even then upgraded my Firefox 100.0 hoping that would fix it. Not so.
The advice above to use Chrome is a solution because when using Chrome to log in to her CC, no space problem. But really? Hopefully a solution will be found to again allow a Firefox user to have workable access to all CC accounts. Setting up and training my wife to use Chrome JUST to do CC work is a big hardship on this "in-house" tech-trouble-shooting husband. If you know what I mean? HELP!
Has there been a resolution to this? It is happening to me in Firefox (May 18, 2022) . Thanks
When typing in text areas in an email campaign the text will not hold spacing in Firefox on Mac. I have not yet tried other browsers to verify this. Example:
I attempt to add simple spacing in between words and this is what I get. I have to go back and add the spaces in after typing my content.
I just started having spacing issues this week. It's not an easy switch to change browsers because all my passwords are saved in Firefox and toggling between browsers is not an option when everything is streamlined with Firefox.
Hello @LiitaF,
I do apologize that spaces are unable to be used in Firefox. If you can't switch browsers, another option may be to write out all text in notepad or word and copy and paste in the text box. Thank you!
this is happening to me as well! Only in Constant Contact so frustrating. Please fix asap!
So, four weeks and still no solution? (...and switching browsers is not a solution.) Thank you. For users like me - copying from Word or Pages has helped, but still may need to format to your font choice and size.
Hello, NeslyO,
I, too, have just recently begun experiencing the exact issue with my space bar with Firefox on a MacBook Pro. The only solution I have found is to switch to Safari.
I've been having the same issue in Firefox (version 101.0) for four weeks now. The tech I chatted with when the problem first appeared suggested trying incognito mode, but that didn't make any difference. Logging into CC in Chrome works, but it's a nuisance to have to use one browser for CC and another for everything else (not to mention that I switched to using Firefox for work specifically to get away from Chrome).
Why are spaces being removed as type in a text box?
I'm switching away from Constant Contact because of this issue. Been waiting for more than a month for a solution. I understand that I mean nothing to their bottom line. But I would rather give my money to a company that fixes issues they caused with an update
Over one month with no fix. How is this acceptable in any sort of company or service? There are better alternatives out there so do your research people and forget CC, they've long abandoned customer service.
