I discovered my account was deactivated only when I attempted to send out e-mails. It happened at a time when the office was closed. I had to wait hours to get it activated. I was never told why my account was deactivated.
Perhaps reasons could be listed to give account holders some idea why their accounts were deactivated.

I am having this same issue, I sent out an extremely important, time imperative email for a large cancellation of our order to my email group, and needed it to go through immediately, the reason I went with constant contact is to avoid issues of sending emails. I guess subscribing to constant contacts was a mistake! It is sad that the second we needed you, you failed us!!! I don't know how you be able to rectify this because I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this service.
