Link RSVP Block to Already Created Events

I love the new RSVP block in the Third Generation editor, but I wish it were integrated with the established event management system. That is, I wish I could add the RSVP block to an email and select from a list of active events that I am hosting and for which I have already created an event. Subscribers that RSVP via the email would then be added to the attendee list for the event.
