Hi,

In the new generation of emails there is no way to change the block color when you want a certain bit of information to stand out from the rest.

Having a block with a slightly different color can also give the reader a place to rest their eyes before going on to the rest of the email (especially in newsletter type of emails). It can also serve as a reminder when the reader goes back to the email. In their mind that person can remember "Oh, that information was below or above the colored block.

Hey @cherlyn_g, thanks for reaching out! As far as changing the background color for blocks in the Third Generation Editor, this is already possible. To do this, you'd want to follow the guide below:
