Where in your event campaign are you looking for this option? What are the steps you're taking? Are you looking to see the details for these contacts that they submitted through your event registration?
The link I was looking for in the event software magically appeared the next day. It was exactly as I remembered it to work. Something funky must have been going on with the CTCT (outdated) event software the day I posed this question. All good.
