Ability to add background image to individual blocks

It would be nice if we could put HTML text on a layer over an image.

I would like to add a background image to an individual block. With options for repeating/non-repeating, as well as size (contain, cover, etc), and position (top, center, bottom, etc)

I would LOVE to be able to do both. Though adding a background image to an individual block would be most beneficial. This AAPI Heritage 2 Template is very close! I wish I could edit this more.

 

This one is also responsive, which would be great if I could edit the background image and switch the orientation of the content blocks on the background. More of this please.

I vote for both. Ability to change the background of the whole email and for individual blocks.

The fact that it is 2023 and we can't do this is ridiculous to say the least. Every other email provider I have used has this ability (see Kl***yo, MC, etc...), and it is an extremely basic HTML property. It surely isn't that difficult to add? I can add it in a manually coded HTML email in literally 10 seconds – it's ONE property.

The latest question on what hierarchical element it should be available on – it should be individual blocks. Whole email could be useful, but I'd think that's way more rare and could be partially accomplished by putting these elements into a single block.

Much needed. This was possible with older CC editors but the feature has been removed. Let us edit the HTML or something...

This issue has been on the feedback board for more than a year and hasn't been addressed.  When will this feature be added?

Since inner background images already exist in Constant Contact templates, there should definitely be an option to change them or to create new templates with the same design element of an inner background.  This is very limiting in the design process.

I agree. I went to use the AAPI heritage template and can’t change the backgrounds for the blocks. Wasted my time. Starting over now with another template. Really disappointed.
