I am ready to switch over from paying $90 a month for CC to or another provider that does automated split testing. Please move this up to the top of your priorities.
Hi!
I just spoke to one of your lovely customer service reps and she said that you do not have any way of sorting contacts randomly so that tests can be conducted to see what email headlines and content perform better. This seems crazy to me!! ;)
In order to test various email content, I would like to be bale to pull 2 /3 RANDOM list of 200-300 people each, so that I can see which have the best response rates . I was told that because the emails are not listed numerically, there is no way to do this. We are a consumer business and do not captured things like company, etc - so sorting by that is not useful to us (and even if we did, it would not be random) What we need is some way to generate (quickly - so NOT manually checking on over 200 boxes) a list that can then be saved. (e.g TEST list A, Test list B, etc) and then we can see how emails perform..
This feature (or lack thereof) will become a bit of a deal breaker for us as I am not sure how we can test without it. Please let us know how we can do this - And please (pretty please!!!) add this option.
Warmly, Erica
Could there be a way to more easily split lists into equal groupings?
For example, I have a list of about 2,000 contacts who are interested in our seminar announcements. We are in the process of updating their profiles and surveying them as to the best time of day for them to receive email, however I would like to be able to experiment on my own to see what different open rates are on the same content during one day but different times of that day. Right now as it stands I have to export the list to excel, then split it up into three lists on my own. is it possible to create an option for this to happen in Constant Contact? the tools now just take too long to go through and check each individual name as all I want to do is split the one list into three equal amounts of about 800 names each.
New Marketing Manager here. Time to move to another email platform as you are falling farther and father behind your competitors like for example. To not have a way to do A/B testing without having to manually split and create 2 new lists is so 2005. Regards, Randy Downs
There needs to be a means to make an A/B split capability using our database and two or more emails for testing.
Suggestion: If I have 10,000 names in my database, I should be able to specify two (or more) emails, and have every other name sent using either Email A or Email B (or A, B, C, D, etc.). This would help facilitate testing email offer effectiveness.
