Hi, I would be GREAT to be able to merge contacts simply by selectionning them and then clicking a "merge contacts". It would be good if we could select the "primary" one, or the "good" one, so that the other merge into this one without changing the email address. Thank you.
Want to retain all history for a contact, even if the change email addresses due to employment or email service providers. Desire is to be able to do analytics on their TOTAL historical behavior (opens, clicks) based on the contact relationship.
It is difficult to merge contacts and a lot of steps it would be easier to click on the contact name and so a merge. If my phones address book has this feature it should be something that can be done.
I understand that constant contact gets paid per contact (aka record), however not having the ability to merge contacts with updated email or company is brutal. I'd also like to be able to search based on additional fields which are imported and within contacts profile. Why is the search/reporting tool so limited?
Merging contacts is really important. Currently we lose email send/open/click history for duplicate records if we delete one. We push contacts to Constant Contact from our CRM, but the integration is limited. It means if the email address gets updated in our CRM, it creates a duplicate in Constant Contact. So we end up with a lot of duplicate records. We don't always catch these right away and then we end up with send email history on two contacts in Constant Contact. It's very frustrating to not be able to merge the records.
