Please work to support foreign characters. Chinese audience is a sizeable chunk of business and for such a large email management tool it is strange that you cannot support it. thanks.
We are considering this idea to be implemented. Most of these comments were due to the limited support to foreign characters in our legacy editor. With the retirement of that editor, we no longer really have issues with supporting the characters mentioned here. Non-English languages, em dashes, curly quotes, etc. are all displayed as expected. One exception to that may be right to left languages which could run into some alignment issues.
We are trying to palce Arabic in Subject Line and we receive (آخر الأخبار من دار التمليك) - I believe constant contact supported Arabic characters? It does in the main text body - just not the subject line?
Hi! With the newer templates that are easier for people to see on mobile devices, there is no ability to add the Registered trademark that I am required to use with the word REALTOR. I keep leaning away from using the newer templates due to this reason, is there anyway that ability will be returned? Please advise. Thank you!
I would like the system to improve by accepting with no problem accents and special characters from other languages , we run constant conctact in Mexico to promote events in Cancun and Spanish use accents , when ever you type something like adiós ! the system turns in into ad$)"($"·/$$os provocating it to crash some times . I guess by improving this special characters "friendly" thing , more people like lets say Germans could use it .
I would also like special character functionality in template-based emails. I know HTML and while I like the templates for streamlining, it's frustrating that I can't use an em dash, bullet or smart quotes in CC unless I fully customize my entire email, which is way too time-consuming. HTML offers standard codes for many charaters. CC should allow those bits to be coded into the html of templates without any trouble. Most email programs allow them, CC should too.
I would also like to post my support for allowing standard, inline html for special characters. How is it that Constant Contact does not recognize standard html for "—" and "–"?
