Links are automatically underlined in red. Changing the link underline color is very time consuming and cumbersome and you should be able to remove the underline entirely. Currently, you cannot remove the underline from a hyperlink at all. Text boxes should have the ability to create rows and columns like in excel. Text boxes should have the ability to put border line inside the box as well.
Love the look and feel of the new editor, but am frustrated at the reduced functionality. Please, please put an "undo" button in the text formatting area. Also, we need an "underline" formatting option as well. And how can we put a "view this email in browser" link in somewhere? Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it!
1) We're implementing undo/redo buttons in an upcoming release. In the meantime, you can use the Ctrl-Z shortcut for "undo" actions and Crtrl-Y for "redo."
2) You can also use a keyboard shortcut for "underline" functionality: Ctrl-U. (We also plan on implementing an underline button)
3) This beta editor doesn't have the functionality to add in a "view in browser" link, yet.
The editing is so frustrating that it won't even let me leave comments! See 'Briefly describe your feedback' above for an example. The issues I've been having in creating an email range from text color and style changing, or not changing at will. There are at least 2 clicks to change anything, and highlighting disappears randomly too. I also tried the help option, but a circle appeared and just kept spinning - no text at all. This needs work!
Undo/Redo buttons: The editor does have Undo/Redo buttons, and they're located next to the "Save" button on the bar above your email template.
Text Styling issues: We're releasing some updates to the way that text editing works soon. Hopefully you'll see some improvements.
Underline: You're right, the editor doesn't yet have an Underline button. Until we implement an Underline button, the keyboard shortkey Ctrl-U will help you to underline any selected text.
As for the issues with the "Help" link, we'll look into that and provide an update.
When I make things in my email linked, I don't usually want it to turn the text to blue, or underline it, or change the size, but this is what happens when you highlight the text and then click on the link button. Very frustrating!!
Previously you could go back in and edit the link and get rid of the default underline and change the color back from blue. Now you can only change the color, bold, and italic, and the underline stays. Ideally, adding a link wouldn't change the font at all (like I said, now it adds an underline AND makes it blue)... but I would take just being able to get rid of that underline!
Thanks for your feedback! You're correct, when inserting a link the text will automatically be applied with the template's default link style. To restyle a link, you can use the text toolbar to fine-tune colors, fonts, and font size. In the future, we also intend on building out styling functionality.
