Save colors to use in templates

It would be really nice if when I choose colors the colors for the template were included in the options. While I appreciate that the most recent colors I've used appear as the options, it would be more helpful to have both the colors specific to that template AND maybe 2-3 custom colors (that we can pick according to our business and are always in the options list) available. Not sure if this is a programming nightmare, but I wanted to suggest it, because it would make things a little easier for me.

Hi @DJT4

Thank you so much for your feedback! I think this is an excellent idea so I'm going to open this up for voting so we can track additional feedback to pass along to our development team.

For one client I send emails about 7 different brands, each of which has a specific colorway. PLEASE make it possible to specify and store color sets from campaign to campaign, rather than having to specify or type in color codes over and over again. Very time-consuming. Couldn’t this be stored as a library element? Please note I have been requesting this feature of storing or saving Custom Color Sets in some form for nearly 10 years and frequently heard from the phone service reps that "many people" were asking for the same feature. Very surprised in Dec 2021 to hear that "no one had ever asked for that before". So I remain patiently waiting after a decade of many updates but not that one! Thanks in advance!

Hi @GrettaG

Are you looking for a way to select a certain set of colors based on the business once you are in a campaign? Does copying a previously sent campaign with these colors in it and updating this copy instead help fit your needs?

Hey Frankie. Copying previous campaign is what I've been doing. Or else use new colors for a new campaign. But if there's more than 3 colors, it's pretty unmanageable.
My example of an email or template for a collection of brands could include about 20 colors. So I'd like to access/assign from that pool of colors, instead of the default colors, and instead of having to type in the html code every time. In other words, a custom colorset or color collection as a library element, or a built element.
Or once I choose/input the colors for the email, show them in a column in the color selector, instead of defaulting to the standard color selector (which sometimes requires checking or typing in the color code to confirm it's the chosen one). Even if you have to restrain to 5 colors, that would be a big time-saver.
Thanks for considering this request.

We're updating the status of this idea to more accurately reflect its current status with our engineering team and also made slight changes to the subject line in order for it to be more easily found. We can't guarantee a commitment to deliver on the idea of saving custom colors but should indicate some awareness that we have heard your feedback and could be taken under consideration for a future update.
