Set off automation series with a Constant Contact store purchase

It appears that if Constant Contact is hooked up with a Shopify account, the Shopify purchase can initiate an automation email series within Constant Contact. How come this cannot be done with a purchase from a Constant Contact store? I would think this would be a great benefit to a Constant Contact store owner. Can this be looked into? Thank you.
