Unable to use space bar in CPE while using Firefox

I am having many of the same problems reported in feedback and in the questions forum. My editor switched from previous to "new" over the weekend. It seems as if these questions and frustrations have been spread out over time and aren't impacting everyone at the same time. Who knows why that is? But...

I am a user that uses the copy and modify a weekly email in the same fashion for nearly two years. One section changes completely each week but the others are simply modified to the new info. It is a weekly "color" feature at a discount. I would even call what I do the "master" because when creating a "master" you still have to be able to copy that master over and over as I do.

I can't even put clickable links into my images (which is very important to our business). This is true for me across browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge). I have this problem when I copy and when even tested creating an entirely new email template. My colors won't changes on my dividers even when they show in the editor as changed in the builder elements.

In Firefox, my spacing disappears (this seems to be reported back in Feb. 2022). In that question, it was suggest as a work around to move to another browser. Working in Chrome fixed that particular issue, but only that.

These issues exists across browsers. I might not be the most proficient email builder out there, but what I am doing is working well for the business and is a core part of our sales each week. We can't afford this type of wrestling with a company product that worked as we needed it to until it did on August 29, 2022.

I actually went in and choose a template and rebuilt for this week's email. It threw me back to the old editor which is really weird and everything worked as before. But then I tested making a copy of the "master", the copy immediately reverted to the new interface and all the glitches resurfaced. So right now, I am thinking I am going to have to build from scratch every single email campaign, every detail including things like the header and footer. This is a significant increase in time which means our business is losing money while paying for a service.

It seems these buggy problems have been wildly reported but the answer is frequently try a different browser or it's not effecting everyone. It might not be and it certainly seems like the newer interface isn't rolled out to all users at the same time. But if that is the case then each wave of the roll out has the same types of buggy problems centered around not being able to do pretty normal things that all users do to create emails.

Yes, nothing but cop-outs and bromides....

How about stop denying and fix the bugs???

Even better, how about testing before releasing to Production?

There are so many problems with the new editor, documented in many many posts in this forum, and this disregarded with no solutions in sight.

Hi @getknitty

Thanks for sharing this feedback with us! The good news is having the option to save a campaign as a master template is a feature request we are continuing to collect feedback on. We recommend sharing your need for this feature directly on that thread. As for your experience of creating clickable images, what are the steps you're taking to do this? What is exactly is happening? Are you receiving error messages? Unable to insert a link? Able to insert a link but unable to click it? You also mentioned your divider colors are not changing. Where are you viewing your test emails through? What is the name of a campaign you are seeing this happen through? We would be happy to help take a closer look.

On the other hand, your spacing issues in Firefox is a defect we are in the process of troubleshooting. Because it is not something all users are experience it does have to be troubleshooted on a case by case basis. This does however cause us to not have a time estimate of when it will be resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. In the meantime, here are some workarounds we recommend:

  1. Writing out all text in notepad or word, then copying and pasting it in the text box.
  2. Typing a bracket characters [ ]and then the text in between. Spaces will stay intact. Brackets are needed for each line. Delete the bracket characters when done.
  3. Using an alternative browser.
  4. Typing the text out with the missing spaces, then go back and add the spaces. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the cursor and then hit the space key.

When are you going to stop "Gathering Information" and 'FIX THE BUGS'?

Hi everyone, we're updating the status of this idea to more accurately reflect the status of the idea with our engineering team. Hello ~ I've been a client for YEARS and noticed the template I use to build my newsletter changed recently in a way that makes me dread creating a newsletter. The change is related to TEXT and has Texttogetherwithoutspaceasadefault. Who wants this feature? How does it help me type my content and efficiently build newsletters? I'm seriously considering leaving CC if this can't be fixed. Can you advice me or turn this off on your end so I NEVERhavetogoinandmanuallyaddspacebetweenwords? I'm leaving the words together so you see what it looks like on my end and how maddening that would be to have to go in and create space between each word!!! Frustrated

Hi @melinam7 - This is a current bug effecting email created in the FireFox browser. We are very close to having a fix rolled out to correct this behavior. In the meantime, if you have another browser on your computer it shouldn't experience that issue. I'm going to merge your feedback in with an existing topic on this issue so that you can be notified when we update the status of it to resolved.
