ability to add a forward to friend in emails

I created an email using card/announcement and when I tried to add "forward to a friend", "join my mailing list" and permission reminder" I was not able. I would like to have the ability to use these functions in future emails that I create.

Hi everyone! I am following up to the forward to friend feature request. Thank you for your patience as we looked into this! The good news is we have received word from our engineers that feature is now available in our cross device templates under the social share block. I'm a bit confused by your last post about the 2nd generation editor -

"At this time now, the way to access the 2nd generation editor is to make a copy of an email that was originally created with that editor. You would be able to access it with a new template, as they are formatted to be edited only with the 3rd generation editor."

In addtion to you mentioned
"There is now a feature to align images as well, including center align."

Here's my screenshot of the issue I had where when I inserted the image and it only aligned left or right no center.

Hello @MonicaL00. I'd be happy to clarify some things for you. 


You would only be able to access the second-generation editor in your account by copying an email that was created using this editor. If you were to create a brand new campaign using the Create button, the campaign would be created using the third-generation editor.


Also, the particular block that you have in that screenshot is designed to only have a left or right-aligned image as it was set up to have the text wrap around the image when it is in the left or right side of the block. However, I see that the rest of your drafts have blocks designed to have images be aligned left, right or center.

Hi, we just moved to the new platform and found out that you removed the "forward email" button. Ug! We have a few organizations that we send tips to that forward to their group. Now we have to create the same email in both the old and new platform to have this? What a time waster!!! Please add it back.

please add the option to insert "Forward to a Friend" link in email.
my patients love to share my emails and the icon made it so easy to do and the click was something we could follow. It is badly needed so I hope you will create and add it to the 'build' section or provide us the special link. I just need a link that I can add to my image of 'share this email' thanks

Has this feature been added?  We need it because our sales team and customers are forwarding our promotional emails and someone they send it to doesn't want to receive the email and clicks the "unsubscribe" and it unsubscribes our customer or our sales person. So now they don't receive any of or other important emails.  Forward to a friend is a common way of sharing info and other systems offer this feature. 


Hello @FLCBMarketing. At this time, the Forward to a Friend feature is not available to use in campaigns created using our third-generation editor. I certainly understand how this would be useful for you and your contacts so your contacts do not become accidentally unsubscribed. I will note this feedback in your account and send it over to the appropriate team.


I need for you to restore, or create from scratch, the capacity for me to forward an email from an already sent campaign to an individual, or individuals. You used to include a "Forward" link in every email template--now that's gone. And when I try to forward the copy of each email campaign that I sent to myself, the formatting goes wonkey (e.g. the background behind all the text goes "black"). MY SUGGESTION: I should be able to log in, go visit my "Campaigns" page, click on ANY sent campaign, and have an option to "Forward" a copy of that email to one or more individuals whose email addresses I enter. ALSO...in the past, people to whom I forwarded an email clicked on "Unsubscribe"...and it unsubscribed ME from my own mailing list. Fix that! THESE things need to be done "Yesterday," i.e. urgently--since my last campaign (10/8/17), I've had more than a dozen requests and/or opportunities for forward a copy to NEW, interested people...and I can't. YOU'RE KILLING MY MARKETING EFFORTS! Get on it! Thanks--Dan Keusal...

I too was disappointed to discover that the "Forward to a Friend" feature was no longer available as part of the new editor.  The new editor is great but the loss of this feature is disturbing as it was a vital tool in enabling list growth.  I am hopeful that the Constant Contact team will add it back very soon!
