ability to add a forward to friend in emails

I created an email using card/announcement and when I tried to add "forward to a friend", "join my mailing list" and permission reminder" I was not able. I would like to have the ability to use these functions in future emails that I create.

Hi everyone! I am following up to the forward to friend feature request. Thank you for your patience as we looked into this! The good news is we have received word from our engineers that feature is now available in our cross device templates under the social share block. If anyone has any additional questions on this, please don’t hesitate to respond to this post as we would be happy to assist you further.

If this is the way it was a week ago, where you are only forwarding the LINK to the email and not the body of the email, you should know recipients HATE that and think it is spam or a scam and they just delete it.

@Frankie_P: I don't see anything in the article you link to about cross device campaigns that discusses the forward to a friend feature. Can you be more explicit about where to find this, and how it works? Specifically, like @SallyZ, the solution I am looking for is NOT to just allow the sending of the link to the web browser version of my campaign. The whole point is to actually be able to forward the email.. Also, it would be excellent if it was possible to paste mutliple names the subscriber is forwarding it to in one field, so they don't have to cut and paste names one at a time like it used to be in I guess it was the 2nd gen editor.

I went back to the article and it seems some content was added to it. Just now I started a test email using one of the templates to see how the "forward email" was going to work. I used the social share block, added the email "network" and previewed the campaign. When I click on the share email button, it looks like it's going to take me to a knowledge base article, but instead it takes me to a 404 error page. None of this gives me any sense of how the forward to a friend feature is going to work. Is there something else I need to activate to make that feature work?

Also, a small "p.s." here, I was very happy to see the data table!

HI @rcppubs23. The forwarding feature doesn't activate in a test email because it needs a campaign URL which is not created until the email is active and sent. You can test this yourself by creating a list with your email address on it and sending it to that list. Also glad to hear about the data table!

We absolutely need this feature added so our parents can forward to friends. PLEASE GET THIS WORKING for US!

Please reinstate "Share or Forward to a Friend."  It's the best way for individuals to share info if they are uncomfortable with adding their personal contacts to an organization' email list.

Thanks!

Any update on the availability of the "forward to a friend" e-mail option? It is sorely missed!

If this has been resolved, I do not see it on my end. I would love to include the Forward option but don't see anywhere.

Today, I attempted to use the Forward to a Friend in a new cross-devise template.  I created a test email and sent it to myself so it was not a test email.  It didn't work.

- Received the email with the Social Share 'buttons'.  Don't know if the size and shape are due to the email template that I used, but why are the buttons so big???

- Clicked on Share This Email and a new email message was opened to be completed and sent.  The message was prepopulated with the CC Email link.  Sent this email to myself.

- Received the email and clicked on the link.  It brought me to a "The requested file was not found on our server." error page.

I tested this from both Outlook (local) and Gmail.

Has anyone else had the same results?
