This form is not allowing us to customize the fields according to our needs. We want to add a field for people under certain age, a simple check box that's linked to one of our mailing lists, and we don't have that option right now.
Please add a way to customize the Sign Up button because the yellow background and white text are difficult for some people to read, and we would like it to match our company's branding better.
Why can I only add two type of custom fields to a contact record? Only unstructured text or a dd/mm/yyyy date field. I need the ability to add fields with select one/many capabilities, so that the content captured is more meaningful, consistent, and becomes structured for searching and segmenting. Agh!
Can not believe that you let us custom design our emails with color, text, size, and content yet you have no option at all to resize the sign up form. The very thing the client will use to get our emails but we can't resize it. I just spent $900.00 with you, maybe I made a mistake. I look around a bit more.
Hi @EmilyF822 at this time custom fields can be created under the My Settings section of your account. Are you looking to create a custom field directly on the landing page creation form? Would you expect these text responses to be collected through an open ended question?
I think you guys should look at Klaviyo for example to see how their builders compare. Right now the form looks very dated, and we're unable to match closer to our brand. Some ways of fixing this: - An option to have fields side by side. Otherwise I can't put an inline form on my website due to its lengthy height. - Needs layout options (such as: an image on the left, and text on the right). - I would like to customize the background opacity. Sometimes I don't want a white form over my footer colour. - Option to change button roundness. - Typically the first name should go first, so there should be an option to re-order fields. - Also each contact form should have an option for a Thank-You page with its own unique URL, otherwise we're missing leads. For ad tracking, it typically requires a unique URL so Facebook knows which users that have completed the sign-up and will create a funnel based on that. Otherwise we have to use MailChimp. (Thank-You page needs a separate URL than the form)
Why can't I add a video to my landing page? Also tried using your website builder for this purpose, but I can't remove the parts of page I don't want. I am a web designer, having worked on many platforms and yours is very hard to personalize! I was really hopeful I could use more of your services since I use your email service, but I can't even get a simply landing page done with your system! All I need is: Video and a Contact Form... should not be hard!
It would be great if the pop-up form has a URL. Also, great would be if we could put images on all form types. Additionally, it would be great to have signup forms similar to (deleted). For example, a horizontal line signup.
The pop-up was designed for a special campaign. We want to share that same form elsewhere. Yes, I can create another landing page for that campaign, but it's easier to just have the URL of the pop-up.
Unlike everything else these are not very customizable. I was hoping there would be a way to have a dropdown so people can self identify and then have constant contact sort them onto the appropriate mailing list automatically. There's also not a lot of options for making this look on brand with my organization. We can't add a logo, change fonts, etc.
It would be nice to be able to edit the field labels on sign-up forms. Now they default to the name of the contact detail field. Normally, that would not be an issue (and it will never be an issue with custom fields, just name these as you want them to appear on the form), but it also means the field labels for the default fields (like First Name, Address etc.) are in English (and that can be an issue for some people over here in the Netherlands 😉 ). I think I saw that the pop-up and inline sign-up form already automatically translate the default fields to Dutch (since that is the Constant Contact language setting we use), but the lead generation Sign-up form on the other hand does not. Would be a nice feature to be able to separately set the name and label for a contact detail field.
I'm just venturing into redesigning my website. Decided to do a Constant Contact website, as I assumed all of their features would sync seamlessly and not be clunky. A month into this and I'm realizing I might have decided wrong.
Forms being the HUGE sticking point:
If I use the CTCT Website design, they have a form, but then the response just sits there with the information and email address and I have to manually export it. Why doesn't the FORM from the website just SYNC with the Constant Contact marketing platform? They're two separate entities I'm finding. So that is a BUST option. Add everyone manually to a campaign, through exporting? No
If I use the Sign Up form that is within Constant Contact and then try to embed it in my CTCT Website I"m building with them, I can only embed a Pop Up form. I hate pop up sign up forms. I want the in-line form but Alas, I don't think I can do this UNLESS I stick it in my footer. What. is. that? Com'on!
And the form itself with its limited options is frustrating. Would be nice to have easier access to customizing field names (buried under contacts settings), rearranging fields, radial dials, drop down selecting etc.
I'm reading comments and posts on here from 2017 and 2018 about these same issues and still no resolve. Every time I reach out to the CTCT Chat support with these same things mentioned, I get the same feedback. 3-4 years now of them getting these same comments and nothing yet.
PLEASE make the landing pages TRULY customizable. The examples on your site look nothing like what can actually be done - it's basically just a generic form. I really want to use it they way articles in your blog recommend, but I can't insert photos or adjust the size of the logo or put designs on the page or anything! Very, VERY disappointing at best.
Please make the contact fields on the lead generation landing page customizable. I work for a a non-profit and I need it to say "Church" instead of "Company." I won't be able to use Constant Contact for my lead gen campaign with these limited form options.
As a new user of Constant Contact, I find the sign-up forms disappointing in that they are so limited. As many users have requested over the last 5 years or more, we need the following capabilities:
Reordering fields
Dropdowns
Checkboxes
Dependent dropdowns
Basic editing or additional field types (numeric, phone number, numbers in a range, etc)
Help text so users know what to type (especially if there are no dropdowns or basic editing capabilities)
Hi @JohnP51372 thank you for sharing this feedback with us! The good news is this feature request thread is focused on having the ability to include more question types as you mentioned. So we have tracked these examples of fields you're looking for. The ability to reorder fields and include dropdown questions are both requests that have their own thread. So we do recommend sharing your need for these features on those threads. The more requests a specific thread receives the higher of a priority it can be given by our Product Team. As for check boxes, what are some cases where you would want a check box on your sign-up form?
I am disappointed with the design features for the forms. As I see, since 2015, users have been asking for basic features to create more customizable forms. Your competitors provide those features. One simple feature is alignment. We should be able to align the text. Unfortunately, because my site is design-focused and I have designers using it, it would look bad for me not to have well-designed elements on my site.
