Embed Social Media Post

0 Votes

I would like to be able to embed social media posts in an email campaign (for example, a LinkedIn post) without having to upload a screenshot every time. I use CC to send a weekly update of our social media activity internally to our employees and this would make it a lot easier!

Hi @LandoAnastasi. How would the post be brought into your email? Would it be through the Share feature built into whatever social channel the post originated from? Or something like a feed action block?

Any ideas on how the process could work would be helpful.

I was thinking something like the "Read More" feature where a preview of a blog post or article is brought into the email body with a link to view the rest of the post.

The Read More block can, depending on the URL provided by the site and the site's own settings for what info can be pulled, adapt to social posts. For example, I was able to confirm that X and Facebook posts will pull into the Read More block. The links would need to be the full URLs however, as the Read More block will typically encounter errors with social platforms' natively shortened URLs. For example: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1133603715105707 works, but https://fb.watch/x6nWW_Yx5K/ does not.

Is the Read More block's function able to fulfill what you're needing from displaying social posts in your emails? Or is there other functionality you'd want from a potential "embedded" social post in emails?
