[Delivered] Upload Contacts For SMS Without Requiring an Email Address

Hi everyone! We are thrilled to share that this highly requested feature has been officially Delivered! 🎉

We completely agree that if your audience prefers text messaging over email, or if you are running a strictly SMS-based marketing campaign, being forced to collect or invent an email address just to add them to your database creates unnecessary friction.

SMS-Only Contacts You no longer need an email address to create a contact profile! As long as you have the SMS marketing feature active in your account, you can now upload spreadsheets that contain only a phone number (along with their name and any other custom fields).

When you import your file, simply map your phone number column to the SMS Phone Number field. As long as you confirm you have their explicit consent to text them, the system will automatically create an "SMS-only" profile for them.

Text-to-Join Additionally, if you are using our Text-to-Join feature, your customers can simply text your keyword to opt-in, and the system will no longer force them to reply with an email address to complete their registration!
