How do I enlarge (or shrink) an image to make it fit better into the space and align it with others in the same section? I tried clicking on the double arrow in the bottom right corner but it's not doing anything. Thanks.

That's exactly how to do it. You need to click, hold, and drag in or out to shrink/enlarge it. Click here for an overview on image sizing.
