Is paypal now the only payment processor going forward for events?

With my other group we use wepay and it's great. With this account the only option I have is paypal. Is there a way to use another payment processor for event fees?

At time of this comment, PayPal will be the only online payment vendor available for campaigns like events. Our devs are exploring additional options, with which to contract.

Will accounts already linked to WePay be able to continue to use WePay or will that capability phase out on October 1?

No, after December 31, 2023 when the contract expires, WePay won't be an available option on any accounts, even those that'd previously used it.

When will users be able to have additional items for sale in the new event function?

I don't have an ETA on anything like that. The Event beta is continuing to be developed and have features roll out over time.
