(See Top Answer) X, formerly Twitter, not posting, issues with connecting profiles, logo update

Hi, the last two days I've tried and posted to twitter but both times this message popped up, You currently have access to a subset of Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints (e.g. media post, oauth) only. If you need access to this endpoint, you may need a different access level. You can learn more here: https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/product Could you help me get this fixed?

Hello @AnyseS9 ,

With X (formerly Twitter)'s changes to its API, and their limits on posting and other connections, there will be issues using the social tool for posting to X (and account connections). Our devs are working to address the API connection issues, alongside making updates to our own system in accordance with their rebrand Including updating branded logos).

Until the situation with the rebrand and API disconnect are resolved, our devs are advising that posts to X be done natively through their app. You can insert and hyperlink a X icon as a small image into your email, if you're needing to display the rebranded iconography sooner.

Meaning, there's nothing we can do on our end and just wait until you resolve it? Will there be any announcement that it's been resolved?

Anyone who's had the known issue tracked to their account will be notified per the dev protocols for these types of issues.

We'll update Community threads related to the issue, once we've received confirmation from the devs it's been resolved.

When will you be updating the twitter bird to the X? I'd like my emails to our customers to reflect what is accurate. The bird is no longer accurate. Thanks

Hello @AGBT ,

Our devs are still at work to accommodate the X / Twitter rebranding, API connections, and other changes. When we've received an update regarding these requests and tracked issues, we'll update our main Help thread accordingly.

Last week I started receiving error messages regarding scheduled Twitter posts. I've tried to repair the connection and even removed the connections from Twitter and constant contact. I am unable to reconnect them or re-establish a connection in my constant contact portal. What am I doing wrong?

Is there an ETA on when this might be repaired? It's been well over a week now, and it's impeding business. I switched my company over to using constant contact for social for the allure of simplicity, but this is getting ridiculous.

There is currently no hard ETA on this issue, as X (formerly known as Twitter) is currently going through several massive changes to their API, copyrighted logos, and other functionalities.

This morning, I began altering a social post that was built yesterday, and it stated that the integration to Twitter was broken. I clicked "Repair the Connection," but it did not solve the issue. I broke the integration, then tried reestablishing it, also with no success. Now it showed me an error stating, "You deselected some of the permissions we need to post to Twitter. Try repairing or reconnecting the integration." I had no ability to deselect any of those permissions and just hit "Authorize" when I was going through the process. I have also tried hitting "Complete the Connection," but that has not given any success either. I have checked the settings on Twitter's end and cannot find anything that would limit Constant Contact's integration. How can I resume functionality?

Our devs have placed a banner at the top of accounts to reflect this connection interruption, while they work to address it.

Hi, when I keep trying to post to twitter it is not working and pops up with an error. The same thing has been happening for the past two weeks and I was wondering when it would be fixed? It was fixed at one point but now its back to not posting again.

Hi @AnyseS9. We don't have any additional information to share at this time regarding the integration between Twitter/X. If we are notified of updates, we'll share them in this larger post.
