Will unsubscribes update from a new master contact list?

If I download and consolidate all of our contact lists within Constant Contact to a new master list and then upload this new master list - will Constant Contact recognize the old unsubscribes and keep them in place?

Re-uploading unsubscribed contacts will keep them unsubscribed, they can only resubscribe via:

• the standard resubscription confirmation,
• signing back up via one of your sign up forms,
• by providing an explicit communication saying they wish to be subscribed, which you'd need to then present to our review team.
