Moving from Mailchimp? Skip the CSVs

Release date
Thu, Oct 8

Hey all,

Considering switching From MailChimp? You can now bring your contacts, images and email campaigns over from Mailchimp without exporting a CSV.

  1. Click your profile icon (top right) > Account & billing.

  2. On the Extras tab, pick API keys.

  3. Click Create A Key, give it a name, then Generate Key.

  4. Copy it. Use the API Key, not the Client Key.

In Constant Contact

  1. Go to Integrations, find the Mailchimp card and click Connect.

  2. Paste your key and click Connect.

  3. Click Migrate data, pick contacts, assets and/or campaigns, and check the permission box.

  4. Click Start migration.

  • What comes over: subscribed contacts (tags included), images and documents, Library folders, and email campaigns.

  • What doesn't: automations, SMS, products, landing pages and sign-up forms. Any images or docs from those still land in a Library folder.

New this month: emails you import from Mailchimp can be edited with drag-and-drop content blocks. Full steps are here.

Anyone already made the move? What's the one thing you wish you'd known going in?
