New Idea

Under Contact > Reports you have a growth graph. I think there should be a way to toggle between All Contacts and Active Contacts. I really do not care how many total contacts I have because people unsubscribe and subscribe all the time. I am more concerned with the Active Contacts growth.

Multiple Emails for Contacts

Status: Voting Open
by RobynK54 on ‎09-26-2016 04:58 PM

Many of the indivduals we are sending our email campaigns to have multiple email addresses (either a personal and work, or a work email and an assistant, sometimes multiple assistants, etc.).  Before, we were able to send the same message to up to three different email addresses under one contact, by labeling the emails as "work", "home" and "other".

Now that Constant Contact has updated and changed their contacts to only having 1 email address per contact, we are unable to properly reach our intended audience.

This significantly reduces the functionality of Constant Contact for our business and we have already started looking at other options.

Thank you so much for your feedback in regards to single email addresses per contacts. We removed this option to alleviate some pain points for customers that were causing things such as duplications within the account.

- These contacts have been known to cause issues with our system and we are looking to simplify.

- We are working to ensure there are no negative impacts on your bill.
- Contacts will be split so the secondary, 3rd, 4th etc. email addresses are on their own contacts
- We will not be deleting contacts.
- At this time, we do not have an exact date as we are still working on making this a seamless transition but we will send another update when we have more information.

Please contiue to share your thoughts on this and we will continue to keep you updated.

Currently one can only review historical opening patterns under each specific contact. It would be a real time saver to allow users to define time frame and/or # of campaign parameters to develop a “Did Not Open” contacts list. These stale emails can then be scrubbed from Contacts.

I would like you to send my emails out to all suspended contacts. All of these people specifically signed up for my newsletter in our store on a sign up sheet. Some I noticed used our sign up form on our web site (they received a welcome email) and are now suspended. I totally do not agree with your policy that because they were removed or had problems with other subscriptions from constant contact that they are now suspended on my emails.

I think a really valuable tool would be to add a column for last activity status, i.e., sent, opened, bounced, etc. on the contacts screen, preventing the need to click into each contact when doing maintenance on the system.

When I used Hubspot, I was able to select a list and then choose "do not send to anyone on this list if they are on ____ list." It was helpful for new customer promotions - i could select our general contact list and then choose to NOT allow it send to anyone on our existing customer list.

When I'm reviewing the contacts in a list, if there are more than 50 items, I have to scroll ALLLLL the way down to the bottom of the page to click on the arrow to get to the next 50 entries. And over and over again. I am not a fan of scrolling, just like I'm not a fan of extra keystrokes. Please put an arrow at the TOP of the list to get to the next page quickly. Thanks.

List growth report missing!

Please reinstate the List growth report. Not cool for it to be just gone. Thanks!

Today I deleted 21 contact lists. On the Activity page, it just says "Delete Lists", which displays once with a date and time stamp for each list I deleted. Before each deletion, I exported the list to my hard drive for safekeeping. On the Activity page, I would like to know the title of the lists I deleted, not just the term "Delete Lists". It would be great to have the record there to see all in one place. You've got the data...please show it! Thanks.

Contact removal

It would be nice to be able to delete or remove the contact while on the screen that reflects the contacts details.

It would be helpful to be able to download a list of Suspeneded by Contact Name, rather than by Campaign.

The simple view is CC knows who on my list of 22,000+ Contacts are "suspended" and it would be useful to be able to identify them with entering a Campaign Report.

It would be nice to be able to add or edit contacts when viewing a specific list.

I'm working on Unsubscribed Contacts. It would be nice to be able to get to the 4th page without clicking one page at a time.

moving contacts from one list to another

You took a big step backwards in my book when you got rid of the ability to move contacts from one list to another just by checking and unchecking the boxes next to the email addresses. It has been a few years, and I cannot believe you have not found it to be an important enough feature to add back.. It is absolutely ridiculous that in order to move contacts from one list and remove them from the old list, I must check them off and add them to a list, and then go back in and find the ones I just moved (it does not keep them checked), and re-check them, and then remove them from the first list. Wow. I cannot tell you how this frustrates me. We move names from a central location to individual lists based on their email addresses. So for instance, if I have a list of 50 emails we have added or who have added themselves, we go in periodically and put them into lists based on their email address,, and then remove them from the central list so that we know we have processed them. Maybe we are the only ones who found the old way better. If only the boxes remained checked, I would not have to go back and re-check them all. What used to take me 3 minutes now takes 20. Oh well. This is not the first time I complained about this, and will not be the last.

New Constant Contact Email Platform

by All Star on ‎10-06-2016 03:42 PM
It is my understanding that the new user interface platform for emails are going to be switching into everyone's account by end of year. With that being said, having the HTML code option is critical as we do a lot of copy and paste of same information into 12-15 other emails with same content.

When I search on a client business, I see 1 or more names/emails associated with that company.  Would love to have the unsubscribed names show up differently than the currently active names within that business. (strikethrough, different background, etc).
Same thing if I type in a name to search, like Smith, I may see 10 names.  Again, if the unsubscribed ones looked different than the active names, it would be easier to find which one I need.

This is not about clicking on the Unsubscribed tab - I know that works.  It's more about filtering out the results of a search on a particular name or company, then seeing who's active or not.

On the page that shows unsubscribes, you show the industry average in 2 decimal points .16% but when you should my unsubscribe average you show it in whole numbers 1% (anything of a decimal number is rounded to a whole 1%). You are comparing apples and oranges. Please change it to show our actual unsubscribe percentage in two decimals x.xx% to match the industry average. Thank you.

To whomever can assist -

We recently hired a new salesmen. In anticipation, it appears we put what we knew would be their email address about a week before they actually started -- and accidentally sent them an email that suspended immediately.

I do not understand how they could be suspended before that email was even created - I understand that 'anyone else on the CC database may have tried to email them' but - this person didn't exist at the company before two days ago. So, who could possibly have been emailing them besides myself?

They then had a second one bounce yesterday again as suspended - I'd assumed that the "15 day hold" would have taken them off this list but, now I'm concerned that they will continue to be suspended. (It appears that they may be a rehire so there is a chance that I had added them into the system and forgot about it a year ago before taking them out?)

This coincides with a problem I've been having for multiple months (from what I understand, an employee at RW Connection tried to fix this in August but I was only just informed it was never fixed) -- two different employees of our own company are marked as suspended, resolutely. So, this makes three.

My question is WHERE can I call and request CC replace them as active contacts, since nothing in the 15 day holds/etc, appears to be working?

Is there away I can whitelist anything from our IP as well? It's frustrating to think new employees won't get the emails that keep them in the loop...

The emails are:

Steve Boyer -

Bob Bowman -

Scott Bruck -

Please help! Thank you,

Capture Tool

I frequently use the Capture Tool to add customer info. When I open the Contact List Selection popup box, is there any way to sort the Lists? It would be much easier to find the correct list if they were alphabetized.

Since it is possible for account owners to select topic tags instead of (or in addition to) mailing lists for email campaigns, customers should be able to self-select interests/tags in addition to (or instead of) mailing lists.
