Your "new design" isn't as friendly as the old one. It is mostly workable, but you still have options that disappear when the user scrolls down a list. "ACTIONS", for instance, or "ADD CONTACT" belong onscreen at all times when viewing a list, and you have room in your menu bar right now! Re-think which is more important - a blank space at the top?
