Get feedback from your audience

We've added a new block to the email editing experience that I wanted to bring more attention to. We've covered why getting direct feedback from your audience is important before, so I highly recommend revisiting that concept if you haven't already!

To make it even easier to hear from your readers, you can now drag and drop a Feedback block right into your email template. Depending on your goals, there are two different ways you can use it:

Ask for a Rating

If you are looking to gauge immediate sentiment or visceral reactions, a Rating is the quickest way to get feedback.

  • Keep it simple: You can ask your audience a broad question (like "How did you feel about our recent event?") and let them answer using simple thumbs up/down icons, a 5-star scale, or smiley emojis.

  • Perfect for: Post-purchase feedback, event follow-ups, or simply asking if they liked the content of your current newsletter.

Run a Poll

If you need more specific data, creating a Poll allows you to ask a targeted question with custom, pre-defined responses.

  • Control the options: You can ask a question (e.g., "How likely are you to recommend our product?") and provide up to 10 specific answers for your audience to choose from.

Bonus Tip: Custom Success Pages

Whether you choose a rating or a poll, you don't have to send everyone to the same generic "Thank You" screen! You can customize the block so that each specific answer or rating directs the reader to a unique URL. For example, if someone leaves a 5-star rating, you could link them directly to a page asking for a Google Review.

Have you had a chance to use the feedback block yet? What do you think? We'd love to see examples of how you've used it! Let us know in the comments below.
