☀️ Summer Automation Check-In

Summer often means vacations, long weekends, and busier schedules, but your marketing doesn't have to take time off.

What automations have you set up to keep your business running smoothly while you're away or juggling a busy season?

Tell us:

  • 🌴 What automation(s) are you currently using? (Welcome series, abandoned cart, birthday emails, event reminders, re-engagement, etc.)

  • What challenge does it solve? (Saving time, staying connected while you're on vacation, following up with customers automatically, etc.)

  • 💡 If you could recommend one automation every small business should have running this summer, what would it be and why?

Bonus: Share a screenshot of your automation or a tip you've learned along the way!

I'm a one-woman show, so I LOVE automations!! It helps me to extend my reach with a little bit of upfront effort. Then, I can set it and (mostly) forget it when I'm on vacation or during busy seasons.

My favorite automation is my Abandoned Cart Automation series that I set up. I use Printful for creating and selling on-demand products that I apply my island-inspired graphic designs to. I have a WordPress website and use WooCommerce for my e-Commerce platform. Then, I have created a WooCommerce integration with my Constant Contact account.

Now, customers can find my website and add something to their cart while I'm having fun on vacation. If they don't make the purchase ... a series of emails are sent out that have logic applied regarding the value of the items in their cart. Higher-value carts get a little more incentive to purchase along the way. As you can see, these automations have made me $$ by reminding potential customers. All while i'm off doing something else!

Moral of the story: Planning ahead pays! 😎

✨ Member of the Week: Carol Lynn Villarreal — MC Magic Home Cleaners

This week I want you all to meet Carol Lynn Villarreal, who runs MC Magic Home Cleaners in the Houston, Texas area alongside her fiancé, Mike. They're brand new — both to running their own business and to this community — so let's give them a proper welcome and check out their Small Business Marketplace listing HERE.

MC Magic is a true family operation (they run it right alongside their kids), and they do a little bit of everything: standard and deep cleaning, move-in/move-out help, laundry, pressure washing, even vehicle detailing. If it needs to get clean, Carol and Mike have it covered.

🏆 The win: They took the leap and opened their own business — one of the bravest, hardest things a person can do.

💬 The real talk: They're in the early days right now, working to build their clientele and grow something that lasts. If you've been there — and most of you have — you know this is exactly the moment a little encouragement matters most.

So here's my ask: drop a comment welcoming CarolvillarrealL6 and Mike 👇 — and if you remember the scrappy early days of your own business, share the one thing that helped you land your first clients. Let's give this new family business the warmest Constant Contact Community welcome we've got.

Congratulations, Carol and Mike! You've been awarded 500 points and a Member of the Week badge here in Community. We're excited to watch you grow!

CarolvillarrealL6 , welcome to the Constant Contact Community!

You're in the right place to learn all you would want (and need) to know to let the world know WHY your cleaning business is the RIGHT business for your customers.

Here's one suggestion: work hard at getting as many 5 star Google reviews as possible (you already have 54). It's a huge help to help your organic ranking and it allows you to stand apart from the competition. Third party validation of your services, is huge!

And I see you're in Connecticut - so is our Connecticut marketing agency.
