LinkedIn has been around for over 10 years now, and many people use it for a variety of reasons. I have been using it pretty much the entire time that it has existed, and I've even taught classes on how to use it. If you're interested, I'm happy to share a link to a training video that I've done or PowerPoint slides for LinkedIn, but what I'm really curious about is whether or not you find it useful.
A lot of times, there are social media platforms that we use, but are they actually providing any kind of benefit to us? One of the obvious benefits is that it looks like we are busy doing something important. And for marketing companies, that seems to be an ongoing ritual.
I'd also be happy to take a look at your LinkedIn profile and give you feedback if I can think of anything useful to say. And I invite you to do the same with my profile.
Let's talk about LinkedIn: what's valuable about it? What's not?
And, in a similar vein, one of my favorite small business networking platforms is Alignable. For the past couple of years, I've been teaching classes there on social media and email marketing. If you don't use Alignable, their smart connects are really something to experience.
Feel free to connect with me on Alignable, and if you're in the mood, share your Alignable profile with us. Community members can give you the same kind of feedback on that as they can with your LinkedIn profile.
I hope your summer is going great, Albert Kaufman
