This is a post we put on Instagram. For some reason there is not a clickable link. I am new to this position and am working on making our posts better. Is there something I need to do when creating the post to make sure we have a link that customers can use?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Janelle

Hello @JohnW2656 ,

Due to how Instagram works, clickable links are not at all possible for post descriptions. Generally speaking, when a business or other account type is promoting a product, they'll ask those engaging with their post / followers to click a link in their profile's bio. This link is either a direct link to whatever article, site, or product they're posting, or its a webpage dedicating to redirecting to all their associated sites. These other sites can include whatever they were promoting, as well as their main website, their other social media pages, etc.

If you're looking to have a dedicated redirect page for your other social platforms, website, etc., our custom landing pages can fulfill that, and are included in all plans.

For future social posts you make, if you're doing several social platforms at once, I'd advise making a variation for the Insta post, since it functions vastly differently compared to Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Making variations for posts can also allow you to do more for each post per platform, as each platform has different limits on text and images.
