Appleid Email Bounces

Hello! I recently sent out an email to one of my lists, and there happened to be about 11 appleid emails within that list. All eleven of them bounced back. When trying to dig into the reason why, the type of bounce was labeled under "other"... Is there a way around this? I have been told that competitors have a way around this issue. Thanks for the help!

Hello @JacksonT933 ,

This isn't something we can get around, it's an extra layer of privacy protection that an Apple user will utilize to hide their true email address. For ESPs like us, and many other services, this will regularly result in bounces due to a myriad of factors. There are send limits on AppleID relays, and if that address has hit its daily cap, then nothing will be able to deliver to it. If they've since deleted that relay, then it will also bounce endlessly.

However, the best way to make your emails more acceptable to Apple in general would be to setup your account for self-authentication. While we're able to work with Apple (to a degree) to ensure smoother delivery in general, you need to make sure your account is self-authenticated since your From address if your own domain. Beyond that, you may need to also work with Apple to get your domains accepted by their system, if you continue to encounter these issues even after self-authenticating.
