Every Tuesday we'll share tips, tricks, and insights on using Constant Contact and online marketing
Inspired by this thread, I wanted to expand on the topic a bit more.
When you create a list for contacts in Constant Contact, there are a few things you can do afterwards--for example, assign lists to sign-up landing pages.
What happens if you delete the list while the landing page is active? The landing page will still accept new contacts, but they'll be added to your system without a list. This might make it more difficult to track in the future when you're cleaning up or organizing your contacts.
If you revisit the landing page, ahem, for your landing page you'll see a message where it would list the Contact list, such as: Chunky Monkey* (deleted at 2025/01/14 12:34:56.789000etc.).
If you wanted to "restore" the list, well, it's technically "gone forever." However, you can create a new list with the same name. It won't have the same contacts on it (unless you add them back). You'll also have to edit your landing page and choose the list name again, then reactivate it. But, after that you'll be back in action!
*Chunky Monkey is one of five billion nicknames I have for my toddler son.
