Double Optin Questions

Hi - I have turned on double optin.

Here's what works.

1. User fills out a form on the website.

2. User gets an email to confirm the subscription. Email is formatted & branded correctly.

3. User clicks confirm.

Here's what doesn't work:

4. User gets ugly web page saying 'Thank You' (See below)- How do I customize this? If I got this, I'd wonder what was going on.

5. User never gets the welcome email

Hello @StampWithCandi ,

At this time Confirm Opt-In thank you pages can't be customized.

Regarding the welcome email, the automation series you have labelled for your welcome emails is still actively sending, if the contact is 100% brand new to your account and has been added to a list for the first time. If they're already part of a list that originally triggered the same email (based on your setup that's any list), then them being added to another list covered by the same automation won't trigger a resend of the welcome email - whether you manually add them or they sign back up.

If you have concerns about its delivery, you may want to look into changing your authentication to self-authentication since you have your own domain. Otherwise, please contact our Delivery team for more specialized assistance and troubleshooting.

Hi William_D,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I hope at some point I can edit the Confirm Opt-In page, but for now, I'll just have to live with it, because I really want double-optin.

Thanks for the info on self-authentication. I'm going to pursue it!

Again, thanks for the help.
