A report has a link to "Set your industry" for comparison data, but the link goes to my profile page where there's no info about how to do that.

It looks like that link functionality is redirecting improperly, and we've submitted feedback to the website team regarding it. To set your account's industry type, you can find the "Edit Profile" button on your account's welcome page:
