Can I have two individual contacts that are sharing the same email address? If so, how can I add a separate contact for someone that is using the same email address.

Unique email addresses are how unique contacts are established for the sake of delivery, managing, billing, reporting, and compliance. Therefore you cannot have two separate "contacts" with the same email address.
