No, at this time, regularly repeating email sendouts aren't available as a way to mitigate spam. If you're wanting to setup periodic reminders for an upcoming event, you'd need to setup and schedule those emails.

Your other option is to setup an automation path, and setup your contacts to trigger it (e.g. a list-add), where they continue to receive reminders based on certain time delays, but you'd need to make sure to deactivate the automation so contacts that join late don't continue to receive the emails.
