I think there used to be an option to view phots oldest to newest. Like so many, I need to purge the library and find the Show More link to be ridiculous for getting to the beginning of an almost-five-year-old library. Is there some kind of workaround?

Next to the library search box, you can select "Advanced". In that expanded menu, you can select a date range to view. Gotta admit, the date selection is rather clunky to use.
