placing my email behind a button in my email campaign

using a template, there is a "register here" but I don't know how to insert my email so a client can register through my email

Was this a normal email template you accessed from the Create functionality? Or is this an email being built within a particular event?

Event emails will have button links automatically coded to go to the specified event. This also occurs with regular emails that have an event block inserted, but you'd then need to select a specific event that you've created. If you haven't actually created the event, then this block's functions are null. 

If you're using a regular email template, and you're just creating a button from a standard button block, then you'd just setup a mailto: link.
