I created a 10 second video flyer in canva, how do I send that out to my constant contact list?
canva video flyer to constant contact
Hey CourtlandC1,
Since email programs (like Outlook, Gmail, etc.) generally do not support playing video files directly inside an email, you cannot simply attach or embed the video file itself.
However, you have two excellent options.
Option 1: The "GIF" Method (Best for short, 10-second clips)
Since your video is only 10 seconds, you can turn it into an animated image (GIF). This makes the motion play automatically when someone opens the email, just like a video, but it acts like an image.
In Canva: Click Share > Download.
Change the file type from MP4 Video to GIF.
In Constant Contact: Create your email and drag an Image block (not a video block) into the template.
Upload your new GIF file just like you would a regular photo.
Result: The "video" will play on loop instantly when they open the email.
Option 2: The "Link" Method (If you need sound)
If your flyer has important audio (voiceover or music) that must be heard, you cannot use the GIF method (GIFs have no sound).
In Canva: Download the design as an MP4 Video.
Upload: Upload that file to a video host like YouTube or Vimeo.
In Constant Contact: Drag a Video block into your email.
Paste the link to your YouTube/Vimeo video.
Result: Constant Contact will create a thumbnail image with a "Play" button on it. When people click it, they will be taken to watch the video with sound.
