Can the Raiser's Edge integration import non-constituent records?

We are currently using the Constant Contact integration with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge product. An issue we face is that it seems the Constant Contact integration does not allow Blackbaud non-constituent records (AKA relationship records) to be imported. Blackbaud has designed Raiser's Edge to store household data: Adding someone's spouse automatically makes the spouse a relationship record (a non-constituent). This means that spouses or other relevant relationship records cannot be included when we try to communicate with the entire household. Though we are able to import the Addressee/Salutation fields, which most often includes both spouses/everyone listed in the household, we are only able to import the primary constituent record's email address, and not the relationship record's email address. We address everyone in the household, though only one person in the household will receive the communication. Will there be, or is there already, an upgrade in the works that will allow us to import relationship/non-constituent records? Ours cannot be the only organization using this integration with this issue.

Hello MerlinJ ,

For Compliance reasons, only constituents that have opted in will be pulled into your Constant Contact contacts for emailing. Non-constituents and those who haven't opted in will not be included. Since this is in place to comply with email permissions and anti-spam laws, there are no plans to change how this functionality works at this time.
