Changing Account Owner?

We need to change ownership of the account. I am retiring from the role. I have already got the "new credit card on file" with prepayment for 12 months.

However how do I actually change the ACCOUNT OWNER? One of the previous Page Manager is becoming the Account Owner. However, looking to modify his access . . . only provide existing option for Page Manage and Content Creator. Don't see an option to elevate the individual to Account Owner.

Any help appreciated!

We have a great article with the steps to do this.

Essentially:

To transfer ownership of a Constant Contact account, youneed to update the current account's login and profile details to the new owner's information. There isn't a single "transfer" button; instead, you should update these specific sections:

  • Profile Details: Go to your settings and update the name, phone number, and address to match the new owner.

  • User Email: Change the main "User email" to the new owner's address. Tip: It helps to verify the new email address before you start this step.

  • MFA: Reset the Multi-factor authentication settings. This will log you out, and the new owner can set up their own device/phone number upon the next login.

  • Security: This is crucial. The new owner should change the password and the security question to ensure the account is secure for them.

  • Billing: Finally, the new owner should review and update the billing information to the new owner's credit card or PayPal account, if applicable.
